Through posters, television, newspapers and even tortilla packages, census organizers are reaching out to Northern Nevada’s Hispanic community to ensure participation from what officials say is a hard-to-reach population.  Advertisements in English and Spanish encouraging residents to participate in the census have been running in the Reno area for the past few weeks.  The idea to come up with a census ad on a tortilla package is the work of the Sparks-based El Rosal Tortilla Factory.
